Administrative Assistant, Business Office
Part-time, Mon-Wed-Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm.
Assistant will be working closely with the Business Office Manager and will be joining a well-organized, systematic office team with the expectation you will be that same extra team player we are looking for and be detail orientated and self-motivated. Knowledge of Medicare Parts A and B expected, primarily Medicare Part B benefits and its’ related billing/collection practices; notification to residents/families of coverage ending and/or beginning, when Medicare is primary payer; Managed Care, Medicaid and Family Care billing/collection practices for SNF and ALF; knowledge of medical insurance claims (billing and collections) and terminology for proper claim processing. Basic accounting knowledge preferred as responsibilities will include monthly bank statement reconciliations, creating journal entries w/in our Quick Books GL system; transactions with payments and deposits. This position will assist in verifying benefits and authorization of coverage for potential residents prior to admission; knowledge of Quick Books, Microsoft Word/Excel, ECS (Electronic Charting System) all preferred. Must be detailed, high level of confidentiality, general office duties and usage of equipment including 10 key adding machine. Experience in working in SNF/ALF billing office preferred.
